About our school

Lealholm is a small, welcoming village school where every child is known, valued and nurtured. Our close‑knit community creates a strong family feel, with pupils learning, playing and growing together from Reception to Year 6, supported by trusted adults who care deeply about their wellbeing and uphold children's rights.

Our school is guided by a shared set of oaths, created by pupils, staff, parents and governors. These oaths underpin everything we do and reflect our commitment to developing children who are nurturing of others, ethical in their choices and brave in their learning and in life beyond school. Kindness, respect and positive behaviour are celebrated, ensuring all pupils feel safe, heard and confident to be themselves.

We believe every child deserves rich opportunities, regardless of the size of our school. Pupils enjoy leadership roles, a wide range of clubs and activities, outdoor and river school experiences, and opportunities to work with other schools in our Trust. Rooted in our rural community and heritage, our pupils are encouraged to be curious about the world, ambitious for their futures and ready for the next stage of their journey.
